Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As the Production Merchandiser you work with a team of highly qualified sourcing, quality, and raw materials professionals in the Arc’teryx Hong Kong office. You will partner with Arcteryx Head Office teams and vendor partners to strive for fulfilment of our business objectives. You will be working with a well-developed base of highly professional long term vendor partners, always looking for creative solutions and processes to improve speed, optimize cost, support margin, and best utilize supply chain capabilities and efficiencies.

We are a small but highly versatile team of problem solvers and process makers, driving collaborative partnership between Arc’teryx Headquarters, our vendors, and the Hong Kong team. We support the building and execution of a sustainable global sourcing strategy that enables us to deliver exceptional product at the right place, with the right quality and cost, and on-time. You will partner internally with Design, Product, Quality, Compliance, Supply Chain, Sustainability as well as externally with our vendor partners to identify and fulfill the sourcing needs of the company and deliver all product developed, commercialized, and manufactured by our vendors.
If you were the Production Merchandiser for Arcteryx now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Supporting the Production manager to drive partnership with the vendors to deliver best-in-class production performance
- Collaborating with the vendor partners to ensure efficient and effective production planning to support business needs
- Tracking bulk ready status to safeguard smooth and timely production execution (e.g. size set samples, TOP samples)
- Support FG supply planning and supplier reporting needs – support sourcing management in performance matrix analysis and assessments to refine data and analytics performance
- Monitoring order status and ensuring data integrity and visibility in systems (e.g. SAP)
- Driving continuous improvement in production & timely delivery execution
- Manage seasonal T1 ship date confirmation, identify blockers and apply mitigations to improve fulfillment of RSD’s to support market needs
- Ensure timely submission of weekly T1 WIP, identify potential delivery issues through detail analysis and partnering with the vendors and cross functional teams (e.g. materials, quality, sourcing) to conduct problem solving and delay mitigation actions swiftly to achieve SDP targets
- Upholding Fair Labour Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principal of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arcteryx Supply Chain
- Working closely with the Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team on quarterly business reviews and training/capacity building
- Adhering to negotiated lead times and balanced annual capacities to expedite responsible purchasing practices as outlined in the Responsible Sourcing Policy
Are you our next Production Merchandiser?
- You have a degree in Merchandising/Business Management or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
- You have 5+ years’ experience in apparel sourcing or merchandising, MNC sourcing office experience is a plus
- You have strong interpersonal skills and can work effectively with internal and external stakeholders of diverse cultural backgrounds
- You have expertise in negotiation, problem solving and multi-tasking
- You are assertive and have a high level of self-initiative
- You are fluent in English and have strong verbal and written communication skills
- You are proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook, and knowledge of ERP & PLM systems is an advantage (e.g., SAP, Centric etc.)
- You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
