Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As the Director, Global Talent Management, you will join a newly formed Global Talent team built to design and operationalize core talent management practices, including performance management, talent and succession planning, and career development.

This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid work.

The People and Culture (P&C) team partners with all aspects of the business to drive the continuous evolution of people and business practices. We seek to drive greater alignment, to develop and foster rapport, to create trust and maintain partnership throughout the organization. As the Director, Global Talent Management you will lead comprehensive talent planning and performance management work and have an opportunity to build a team of dedicated talent practitioners. You will drive the following capabilities: talent & succession planning, career development, performance management, and competencies & skills frameworks. You will contribute to driving high impact leadership development and workforce planning.

If you were the Director, Global Talent Management now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

    • Designing and implementing talent management solutions that support the organization's strategic goals, culture, and values
    • Translating business needs into actionable talent management plans and initiatives
    • Talent & Succession Planning: Leading the design and implementation of talent and succession planning practices and processes that align with Arc’teryx’s overall business strategy, with a focus on accelerating high potential talent, and deepen our talent pipeline
    • Performance Management: Evolving the performance appraisal process, including goal setting, performance assessment and promotion, and development planning
    • Career Development: Designing and embedding comprehensive career development programming, driving employee engagement, growth, and retention
    • Skills & Competencies: Designing and integrating competency frameworks, success profiles, and a skills library, including development and selection assessments
    • Working in partnership to design and deliver comprehensive global leadership development programming
    • Working in partnership to evolve workforce planning practices
    • Fostering an environment of collaboration, continuous learning, and evolution
    • Leading through the Arc’teryx Leadership Code
    • Building strength in relationships throughout the Arc’teryx organization

Are you our next Director, Global Talent Management?

    • You have a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, I/O Psychology, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus
    • You have 8 years of progressive experience in talent management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
    • You have proven experience in developing and implementing successful talent management strategies and programs across the employee lifecycle
    • You have a deep understanding of performance management and talent and succession planning best practices
    • You have strong knowledge of HRIS and talent management technologies
    • You have excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills
    • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and translate it into actionable insights
    • You have the ability to build strong relationships and partner effectively with all levels of the organization
    • You have the ability to see the big picture, translate it into tactical plans, and operationalize with excellence
    • You have demonstrated ability to manage budgets and resources effectively
    • You have a passion for your work, and for getting outside to Live It
$149,000 - $205,000 a year
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$149,000 - CAD$205,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.

Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include our competitive bonus program and benefits that we offer.
