Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As a Product Compliance Specialist, you play a crucial role in developing and evolving processes and protocolsto guarantee that Arc’teryx raw materials and finished goodsadhere to global regulatory and safety standards while also ensuring compliance with performance and sustainability declarations. The focus of this role is tosupportcontinuous improvement in the communication and execution of these requirements throughout the product development lifecycle and throughout the organization.
This role is based out of our Hong Kong office. Candidates must be eligible to work in Hong Kong.

The Compliance team works cross-functionally to provide a strong connection between product creation and our supply chain. We bridge the gap between what we build at Arc’teryx and what we value. We embed product integrity & compliance into our processes and systems to ensure our products are globally compliant and are representative of company policies.This work is complex but critical for ensuring integrity & accountability and this role requires close collaboration with internal partners and external suppliers to ensure a robust end-to-end compliance program is in place that anticipates the future needs of the business.
If you were the Product Compliance Specialist now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Managing seasonal care and contentdata in our PLM system and with our T2 partners.
- Managing the data for regional market entry labels (e.g. China stickers).
- Managing the data for regional EPR initiatives as they relate to packaging. Submitting reports where required by a Canadian entity.
- Utilizing a systematic, comprehensive seasonal product compliance review in line with applicable I2C stage gates to identify any risks associated with labellingand packaging and ensuring they are addressed prior to buy ready.
- Managing reported issues including root cause analysis and resolution.
- Leading proactive and collaborative communication between brand, regional offices and our T1 and T2 partners.
- Establishing best practice for process and protocol within your scope. Reviewing functionality of systems and tools to support data integrity and efficacy.
- Providing insight, guidance and training to internal and external partners where requiredforlabelling & packaging topics.
- Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain;
- By working closely with the Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team on quarterly business reviews and training/capacity building (at least annually)
- By adhering to negotiated lead times and balanced annual capacities to expedite responsible purchasing practices as outlined in the Responsible Sourcing Policy
Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:
- Providing cross-functional support to the T1s who are involved in the DPP pilots and sharing their feedback to help guide and form the foundation of our DPP framework and implementation plan
- Leading a thorough review and actioning updates as required to our shipping manuals and associated SOPs – apparel & gear / footwear
- Developing a robust change control process to mitigate risk that arises from late model name changes
Are you our next Product Compliance Specialist 1?
- You have a minimum of 3-4 years relevant industry experience in a consumer goods setting – working with materials, components and supply chain procurement, compliance, or sustainability. A post-secondary degree in Product Development or Design or related fields is a plus.
- You are proficient in English and ideallyhave written proficiency in Chinese
- You have excellent time management and organizational skills.
- You are an effective communicator and have strong interpersonal skills.
- You have excellent attention to detail and ability to ensure data accuracy.
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues, seeking the best solutions with an unwavering commitment to do what is right.
- You are committed to identifying solutions and making recommendations for improvements and proposals for change.
