Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:
As a Planning Coordinator, you play an integral part in the planning, sales and distribution process for our Shared Service Organizations (SSOs), working with both international Amer Sports teams and the team at Arc’teryx Headquarters. You work cross-functionally with our internal Merchandise Planning & Allocations (MP&A), Supply Planning, and Merchant teams to ensure the smooth and reliable flow of inventory to support the Arc’teryx business within SSOs.
This role is primarily based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.
Please note this is a temporary, full-time role with a duration of one year.

The Merchandise Planning & Allocation team is a cross functional group whose focus is to continuously drive sales and margin, while mitigating inventory risks. We work to find the balance between the right product, at the right quantity, in the right place, at the right time.
If you were the Planning Coordinator – APAC now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
- Working with the Demand Planners to receive the pre-season forecast and taking control of the in-season activities
- Maintaining accurate Order Status Reports for your regions
- Owning insights about the Orders per season, as well as the actions to fix anything needed for the correct flow of inventory to the Regions
- Managing the order book fulfillment process proactively, ensuring order releases are accurate, timely, and delivered according to the customer requirements
- Monitoring allocation, delays and risks related to order deliveries for your assigned SSOs and creating ad-hoc reports as required
- Analyzing data and providing insight on allocation and supply gaps to demand
- Identifying when technical issues may block shipment of your orders and following established processes for resolution and escalation as needed
- Working with your SSOs, the Arc’teryx Delivery & Transportation team, and regional Distribution Centre teams to ensure deliveries are picked, packed, and shipped in an accurate and timely manner
- Providing support and prompt responses to partners within our SSOs
- Identifying issues and gaps in process and supporting the team to help find resolutions
- Supporting the weekly replenishment process and store supply ordering process for your assigned doors
- Seeking opportunities to continuously improve processes or better support sales and sell-through
- Acquiring a working knowledge of Arc’teryx products and technologies
- Building strong working relationships with cross functional regional teams
- Supporting the team with additional tasks as required to help achieve company objectives
- Upholding Fair Labor Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principles of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing, throughout the Arc’teryx supply chain
Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:
- Working closely with other Supply Chain and Product teams on inventory strategies as well as monitoring and tracking various demand planning factors that impact product availability
- Assisting in driving sales initiatives and programs
- Helping to identify regional shortages and overages for the Open To Buy (OTB) process
- Working with internal teams to improve the factory direct shipment process
- Participating in merchandise planning improvement projects and initiatives as they arise
Are you our next Planning Coordinator - APAC?
- You have a university degree in a relevant subject, or the equivalent experience
- You have 1+ years' experience in an allocations, inventory management or planning coordinator role; or experience in a role of similar nature
- You have highly effective verbal and written communication skills
- You are a self-starter who takes initiative and ownership of your business
- You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
- You have strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- You demonstrate attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- You are proficient in Microsoft Office, with a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- You have experience working with SAP or another Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
- You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
- You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions with unwavering commitment

$52,000 - $65,000 a year
A reasonable estimate of the pay range is CAD$52,000 - CAD$65,000 at the time of this posting. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education and/or training. The upper end of the range is typically reserved for candidates with demonstrated expertise that is above job requirements or who bring exceptional directly transferable experience.
