Accelerate is a two-day, comprehensive introduction to Tax, Assurance, and Consulting practices to expand your knowledge of public accounting, specifically in the DC Metro Area. Selected Externs will receive direct training from Aronson professionals and have the unique opportunity to receive mentoring advice and career coaching. Leadership will provide a close-up view to the intricacies of our different industry groups and services. Aronson serves the government contracting, real estate, construction, non-profit, forensic valuation, consulting, technology industries, a variety of organizations and employee benefit plan matters. Externs will get exposure to these industries through observation and task participation. Additionally, Externs will have the opportunity to accelerate the development of their professional network through a social event to leverage the strong mentorship that professionals at Aronson provide.

- Strong interest in beginning a career in public accounting upon receiving your undergraduate/graduate degree
- Free of prior commitment to an internship with Aronson or any other Public Accounting firm
- Current Sophomore status in a four-year accounting program or Junior status in a five-year accounting program at an accredited university with a plan to complete 150 credit hours in 2021
- Maintenance of a 3.3 GPA or higher
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- A positive attitude and outstanding work ethic
- Participation in extracurricular activities and demonstrated leadership abilities
