Who We Need:
We are seeking an experienced Chief of Staff to support Arootah's clients' executive teams and drive strategic initiatives across their organizations. These are consulting-based roles that will vary by engagement:
In alternative investment firms (hedge funds, private equity, venture), the focus may be on principal shadowing, investment operations, compliance, marketing, or firm-building.
In family office settings, responsibilities may also include personal/family support alongside investment and operational oversight.
This JD is intended as a comprehensive framework: clients can select the components most relevant to their office or firm, whether purely business-focused or inclusive of family/personal responsibilities.
Candidates should have proven leadership experience in executive support and operations management. You will collaborate closely with department leaders within our client organizations to enhance teamwork and improve business strategies. This role provides an opportunity to work on diverse projects, delivering impactful solutions to our clients.
What You'll Do:
- Partner with the CEO to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive company growth and operational excellence.
- Lead cross-functional projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment across departments and timely execution.
- Serve as the CEO's representative in meetings, calls, and strategic discussions when needed.
- Prepare executive briefings, board materials, and strategic presentations for leadership team and investors.
- Drive organizational effectiveness by identifying process improvements and implementing scalable solutions.
- Facilitate communication between the CEO and leadership team, ensuring clarity and alignment on priorities.
- Manage special projects including M&A activities, partnership negotiations, and strategic planning cycles.
- Analyze business metrics and market trends to inform strategic decision-making.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with budget management.
- Consulting experience, particularly focusing on operations management.
- Demonstrated success in a project coordination role.
- Strong business acumen with a focus on developing innovative solutions.
- Excellent project reporting skills, emphasizing interdepartmental communication.
- Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
$90 - $200 a year
The hourly consulting rate of pay is expected to be a minimum of $90 and a maximum of $200, per hour. The hourly rate will be determined by several factors which may include, but are not limited to, the length of the individual engagement, level of difficulty, level of specialization required, professional designations, skills, and years of experience.
