ArsenalBio’s mission is to develop efficacious and safe cellular therapies for patients with chronic diseases, initially cancer. With our programmable and computationally driven approach, our team is engineering living medicines to attack cancer’s inherent multi-faceted nature and overcome the challenges of addressing solid tumors with cell therapy.

Driven by a collective of diverse experts across immunology, synthetic biology, molecular biology, automation and computational biology, we are united in purpose to deliver radical breakthroughs for people with cancer, and prioritize the team’s outcomes over individual goals to achieve our company mission – together.

We are seeking an outstanding Sr. Research Associate II to drive next-generation sequencing methods within ArsenalBio.  The ideal candidate will have a broad understanding of NGS and its applications and a proven track record of developing innovative NGS protocols for solving complex biological problems.  As a strong technical contributor, this role will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance ArsenalBio research.

What You Will Do:

    • Deploy high- and low-throughput NGS library preparation strategies for bulk, single-cell, and multi-omic applications
    • Create NGS libraries from single cells, tissues, and isolated DNA/RNA to further ArsenalBio research and discovery
    • Establish novel NGS methods to extract new types of information from research and clinical samples
    • Help oversee the operation and maintenance of numerous Illumina instruments
    • Participate in the overall management of NGS operations
    • Assist in troubleshooting problematic library preps and sequencing issues
    • Contribute to ongoing improvements in storing, tracking, and analyzing NGS data
    • Evaluate new NGS technologies and platforms (e.g., spatial transcriptomics)
    • Identify promising new concepts in scientific publications and lead pilot studies of related experiments
    • Participate in cross-functional collaborations with multiple groups to advance broad company goals and objectives and assist in the design of genomics projects
    • Contribute NGS expertise, leadership, and technical guidance to cross-disciplinary teams.
    • Advance NGS technology utilization and understanding across the company
