ArsenalBio is seeking a Senior Research Associate to support the execution of molecular assays and next-generation sequencing (NGS) methods within ArsenalBio. The ideal candidate will have basic lab experience and be familiar with molecular biology assays and NGS.
What You Will Do:
- Perform qPCR, ddPCR, and NGS library preparations to support ongoing research projects.
- Isolate DNA and RNA from a variety of sample types.
- Learn to use automated liquid handling systems to perform molecular assays and NGS library construction.
- Maintain an electronic lab notebook, ensuring experimental methods and results are recorded timely, accurately, and consistently.
- Manage own work to accomplish assigned objectives.
- Under the direction of a manager, execute high-quality, well-controlled experiments.
- Summarize experimental results and review conclusions with project leaders.
- Communicate with project leads about project status, significant findings, or critical problem areas.
What Will You Bring:
- BS in Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology, or related field with 2+ years of relevant research experience in industry or academia.
- Very good organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong analytical ability.
- Ability to recognize and resolve basic problems encountered in standard procedures.
- Proficient in basic laboratory techniques (e.g., pipetting, sterile technique, buffer solution preparation, etc.).
- Direct experience with basic molecular biology techniques.
- Familiarity with PCR, qPCR, ddPCR, next-generation sequencing platforms, and automated liquid handling systems
- Familiarity with handling and purifying nucleic acids.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., GSuite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other productivity tools).
- Ability to quickly learn new skills and knowledge on the job, demonstrate productivity and deliver high-quality results
- Being self-sufficient but also contribute actively as a team player
