Artera works with healthcare organizations nationwide to streamline patient communication through a robust digital platform. With complex data integrations and unique customer needs, we are seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to provide technical expertise, guide workflow optimization, and ensure seamless implementations.
As a key technical consultant, you will bridge the gap between Sales, Customer Experience, and Product teams to define, scope, and deliver tailored solutions. You’ll play an integral role in enabling the sales process, solving technical challenges, and contributing to both pre- and post-sale growth by aligning customer workflows with Artera’s platform capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical lead during the sales and implementation processes, ensuring customer workflows align with Artera’s capabilities.
- Conduct technical discovery sessions with prospects to evaluate system architecture, workflow needs, and data integration requirements.
- Design and propose optimized solutions for healthcare workflows using Artera’s product suite, addressing inefficiencies and ensuring scalability.
- Translate technical concepts into clear and actionable information for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Scope Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring feasibility and clarity for successful project implementation.
- Collaborate with Sales and Customer Experience teams to ensure alignment on customer expectations and project outcomes.
- Create and deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations to illustrate value to prospective and existing customers.
- Respond to RFPs, RFIs, and security questionnaires, leveraging cross-functional input to craft effective responses.
- Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader for internal and external stakeholders, providing insights on best practices and workflow optimization.
- Contribute to internal enablement by educating sales and customer-facing teams on technical aspects of the product.
Requirements
- 6+ years of relevant experience in solutions engineering, technical consulting, or healthcare technology.
- Bachelor’s Degree in STEM preferred *additional experience in lieu of a degree is also acceptable*
- Strong technical aptitude, with expertise in healthcare integration standards such as HL7, FHIR, and API architecture.
- Demonstrated ability to scope technical projects and align customer needs with product capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences effectively.
- Proven problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach to tackling complex workflows.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to a dynamic environment.
Bonus
- Knowledge of database architecture and data storage methodologies.
- HIMSS certifications (e.g., CPHIMS, CAHIMS).
- Experience with RFPs and proposal writing in a technical context.
$110,000 - $130,000 a year
The compensation for this role will be based on level of experience and the geographic tier in which you are located. This position also comes with equity, variable compensation, and a variety of benefits.
Tier 1 Salary: $120,000 - $130,000
Non-Tier 1 Salary: $110,000 - $117,000
LOCATION
Artera values in-person collaboration and is currently hiring in the following US cities: Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, San Francisco/Bay Area, Kansas City, Seattle, Denver, Chicago, Boston, and Philadelphia (Wayne).
Artera HQ is in Santa Barbara, CA, with an additional US office located in Philadelphia (Wayne), PA. If you live in the Santa Barbara or Philadelphia area, your role will be hybrid, and you will be expected to work out of your designated office location regularly, following local office guidelines. While three days a week may be a general guideline, the specific requirement will be set regionally based on the needs of the local office and the role.
If you live in one of our other hubs, your role will be remote to start. As our team continues to grow in these cities, Artera will explore opening offices in these locations, but there is currently no timeline in place for that. Once that happens, in-office attendance will similarly follow regional expectations, with flexibility to align with the local office's norms and the specific job requirements.
