Artera is seeking a dynamic and strategic-minded individual to fill the role of Vice President of Sales. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in driving the commercial success of our organization, overseeing both sales strategy and execution. You will collaborate closely with the executive team to develop and implement initiatives that maximize revenue growth and enhance our market presence.

Essential Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive commercial strategy aligned with the company's overall objectives. Drive revenue growth, market expansion, and customer acquisition through innovative approaches.
    • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team, setting clear targets and providing guidance to achieve sales goals. Implement best practices for sales processes, pipeline management, and performance metrics. Maintain a network of talented sales professionals that can join Artera.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams. Foster relationships with key clients and stakeholders to drive business growth and ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs. Utilize insights to refine product offerings, pricing strategies, and go-to-market plans.
    • Collaborate closely with other departments, including reimbursement, billing, operations, marketing, customer success, and clinical strategic partnerships, to align commercial efforts with overall business objectives. Champion a culture of teamwork and collaboration across the organization.
    • Build a system to monitor KPIs, sales forecasts, and financial targets to measure performance and identify areas for improvement. Implement effective reporting mechanisms to track progress and provide regular updates to the executive team.
    • Assess and mitigate risks related to sales operations, pricing, contracts, and market fluctuations. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

Education and Experience Requirements:

    • Experience driving sales and building sales teams at startups, specifically medical and AI startups in regulated healthcare markets, with accompanying constraints. 
    • Substantial experience driving sales for lab-developed tests, required. 
    • Experience driving sales for medical software, preferred.
    • Proven track record driving sales from <$1M to >$10M+ in ARR or similar
    • Proven track record of success in senior leadership roles, with extensive experience in sales management and business development.
    • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate market insights into actionable plans.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and inspiring teams to achieve exceptional results.
    • Results-oriented mindset, with a passion for driving growth and delivering value to customers.
    • Experience with oncology & biomarkers is highly desirable.
