Artera is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Managed Care to lead our efforts in securing private payer coverage and contracts. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of private payer reimbursement in the US healthcare landscape, with specific experience in precision diagnostic laboratories offering proprietary products. This individual will spearhead a team dedicated to navigating payer relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring optimal reimbursement for Artera's cutting-edge diagnostic solutions.

Essential Responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute strategies to secure private payer coverage and contracts for Artera's precision diagnostic products.
    • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders at private payer organizations, including executives, medical directors, and reimbursement decision-makers.
    • Drive negotiations with private payers to establish favorable coverage terms and reimbursement rates for Artera's proprietary products.
    • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify opportunities for expansion and growth within targeted geographic areas.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and payer guidelines in contract negotiations and reimbursement practices.
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, compliance, billing, and regulatory affairs, to align reimbursement strategies with overall business objectives.
    • Develop and implement metrics to track the success of reimbursement efforts and adjust strategies as needed to meet organizational goals.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities related to private payer reimbursement and managed care. 

Experience Requirements:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in private payer reimbursement within the US healthcare system with a focus on laboratory testing. 
    • Extensive background in precision diagnostic laboratories with proprietary products, ideally within companies offering proprietary cancer precision medicine tests.
    • Demonstrated success in negotiating contracts and securing private payer coverage for innovative healthcare solutions.
    • Familiarity with key figures in the private payer landscape and knowledge of private payer decision making dynamics
    • Experience managing teams and driving results in a fast-paced environment.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to travel as needed to support business objectives.

Nice to Haves:

    • Experience working for a prostate company with a focus on reimbursement.
    • Deep familiarity with one or more of the following geographic areas: Texas, Florida, Pennsylvania, Indiana, Illinois, or Colorado.
    • Proficiency speaking the Spanish language.
$200,000 - $230,000 a year
