The Genitourinary (GU) Medical Director will serve as a field-facing physician leader within the Medical Affairs team. This individual will act as a peer-level advisor to clinicians, primarily urologists, radiation oncologists, and GU medical oncologists, support sales engagements with scientific expertise, and represent Artera across the GU oncology ecosystem. The role requires deep subject-matter expertise in GU cancers, strong communication skills, and a passion for advancing precision oncology.

This is a highly visible role that serves as both an expert resource and trusted partner to urologists, radiation oncologists, and medical oncologists.

Essential Responsibilities:

    • Clinical Engagement & Education:
    • Serve as a medical affairs field resource for Artera’s GU tests, providing peer-to-peer education to practicing clinicians and demonstrating how the test can be put in context of their clinical needs.
    • Act as a peer advisor and trusted partner to clinicians integrating Artera’s tests into practice.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and practicing GU clinicians.
    • Deliver scientific presentations at medical group meetings, academic centers, and tumor boards.
    • Lead speaker programs, advisory boards, and other educational initiatives.

    • Medical Support for Commercial Activities:
    • Collaborate with commercial colleagues to support responsible and compliant customer engagements.
    • Provide expert input into training for sales and market access teams.
    • Support responses to complex clinical inquiries from customers and field partners.

    • Field Insights & Feedback:
    • Collect and synthesize feedback from the field regarding clinical utility, unmet needs, and barriers to adoption.
    • Communicate insights to Medical Affairs and cross-functional stakeholders to inform product strategy, evidence generation, and education efforts

Education and Experience Requirements:

    • Required:
    • M.D. degree with completed residency and fellowship training in Urology, Radiation Oncology, or Medical Oncology.
    • Board-certified (or previously board-certified) and experience in managing prostate cancer patients.
    • Demonstrated expertise in GU oncology with a strong peer reputation in the field.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to connect peer-to-peer with practicing physicians.
    • Ability to travel up to 50% nationally.

    • Preferred:
    • Prior experience in industry Medical Affairs or clinical trial leadership.
    • Established relationships with GU oncology networks and professional societies.
    • Experience serving as a speaker, advisor, or investigator in clinical research.
$250,000 - $285,000 a year
