As a Senior Product Designer I, you will play a key role in driving the design direction of our products. Your understanding of user-centered design principles and keen eye for detail will be the foundation of crafting outstanding and cohesive customer experiences. Our ideal candidate will take a hands-on role in the development of user-centered products that drive customer satisfaction and fuel business growth. Navigating ambiguity is a strong suit, and you deeply value collaboration using the three-legged stool product development model. You’re passionate about enabling customers with meaningful, self-aware feature work and fostering an internal creative culture of collaboration, positivity, and growth.

What you'll do:

    • Design Thinking
    • Explore and solve design problems for a variety of SaaS products for our customers.
    • Analyze user and stakeholder feedback to identify problems and synthesize new, elegant solutions to solve pain points.
    • Use a strong understanding of our products and assets, the competitive landscape, and our users in product decision-making.
    • Conduct lightweight research of the competitive landscape and learn from user feedback.

    • Design Execution
    • Craft efficient user flows, thoughtful wireframes, high-fidelity pixel-perfect designs, prototypes, and pattern documentation with minimal supervision.
    • Create detailed design specs with all manner of states considered, well-annotated, and ready for handoff to our product development team.
    • Own a feature and execute cohesive, forward-thinking, and industry competitive design solutions from end-to-end with pixel-perfect UI deliverables.
    •  Support your designs with thoughtful prototypes and simple animations to demonstrate interactions and simulate new flows.
    • Validate creative ideas through rapid prototyping and user testing.
    • Track feature-related decisions and updates.
    • Prioritize work based on team needs.

    • Collaboration
    • Serve as a working member of a swiftly moving cross-functional team working on multiple projects at one time.
    • Support developers with testing, validation, and edge case designs.
    • Support feature development with thorough testing of new features, creating detailed bug reports across all breakpoints, and giving efficient guidance for dev and QA teams.
    • Meet with the design team regularly to discuss product design decisions and transform product insights into intuitive, user-friendly application features.

    • Team Citizenship
    • Assist with finding new design talent and guiding junior-mid level peers.
    • Push forward the craft of product design with an eye on industry trends and best practices.
    • Make an impact in the process of how design work is done, the operations of the design team, and the overall team culture.

What you should have:

    • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or a related field.
    • You are a well rounded product designer with at least 4-7 years professional experience in fully responsive web environments.
    • You have a remarkable product-focused portfolio or prior experience in a product design role for an impressive consumer app, SASS company, or agency.
    • You have a deep understanding of and hands-on experience with modern UX design concepts and tools, as well as platform-specific constraints and guidelines.
    • You have a passion for amazing product design and an appreciation for elegant user experiences.
    • You are well-spoken and can present ideas effectively.
    • You are highly motivated and can be self-directed.
    • You have a high attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
    • You are an outstanding team contributor providing thoughtful viewpoints on product design in a flexible and easygoing way.
    • You are well-versed in giving and receiving feedback constructively.
    • You are an open-minded thinker who’s constantly in search of engaging, usable interaction patterns, and cutting-edge design work in the real world.
    • Deeply understand the ins and outs of Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other tools

Preferred:

    • Real-world, road-tested SaaS product design experience 
$126,100 - $189,100 a year
The pay range for this position is $126,100 to $189,100 for all US locations. Articulate takes into consideration a wide range of factors that are utilized in making compensation decisions, including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, qualifications and education, and other business and organizational needs.
