About the Role:
The Urgent Care Therapist On-Site plays a critical role in providing immediate mental health support to patients in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position is designed to assess, diagnose, and treat individuals experiencing acute psychological distress, ensuring they receive timely and effective care. The therapist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. By utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, the therapist will help patients navigate their challenges and promote overall well-being. Ultimately, the goal of this role is to enhance patient outcomes and contribute to a supportive healthcare atmosphere.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- Current licensure as a therapist in the state of practice.
- Experience in a clinical setting, particularly in urgent care or crisis intervention.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in trauma-informed care or crisis intervention.
- Experience working with diverse populations and understanding cultural competency.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Responsibilies
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients presenting with urgent mental health concerns.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical best practices.
- Provide crisis intervention and stabilization for patients in acute distress.
- Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient interactions and treatment progress in compliance with healthcare regulations.
