ASCO Equipment has career opportunities for a Material Handling Service Manager in Amarillo, Texas.  We are seeking a high energy and ambitious individual with a history of service department managerial success, and a passion for safety.  Qualified persons will be ready to support the service department through exceptional customer service to increase overall business opportunities.
 
Service Managers are department heads who work closely with the Branch Manager to develop efficiencies and attract qualified talent and support customers while hitting company goals. In addition, the Service Manager along with the Branch Manager, will have the opportunity to hire, motivate and develop a stellar team of technicians and service support staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Employee management including, coaching, scheduling and dispatching
    • Oversee repair work and operations of the entire service department
    • Manage and track technician training requirements
    • Ensure sufficient resources are available to include parts, schedule work and personnel
    • Coordinate repair/rework/maintenance in order to obtain optimum utilization
    • Build/maintain relationships with customers by communicating updates and answering questions
    • Diagnose repair work and handle customer complaints, questions and concerns
    • Assist with warranty and service quotes and various administrative duties
    • Work closely with other department heads, (Branch Manager/Parts Manager/Sales Manager)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Prior dealership service department experience strongly preferred
    • 3+ years supervisory experience with proven customer service and service department success
    • Ideal candidate will be a self starter and work with a sense of urgency
    • Ability to recruit, train and motivate highly effective teammates
    • Excellent computer and written/verbal communication skills
    • Ability to professionally manage difficult customer situations
    • Strong commitment to safety and training
    • Passionate about customer satisfaction
