We are seeking enthusiastic and ambitious individuals to join our summer internship program for 8 weeks in Austin, Texas. As an intern with us, you will gain hands-on experience while working alongside your dedicated mentor and building connections with various other team members.
Our program offers a dynamic opportunity designed to provide you with real-world experience where you will be able to further your knowledge and education. You will have the chance to learn all about the on-demand delivery industry, our company culture, and build your portfolio with tangible work and results.
As an Operations Intern, you will contribute to quality operations and continuous improvement initiatives for the business. You will work cross-functionally to better understand and improve customer experiences with Favor and assist with programs and change management projects across the Runner (that’s what we call Favor delivery drivers) community and H-E-B home delivery business. We believe in providing our interns with exposure to various aspects of the business to help develop a well-rounded skill set. Your responsibilities may include key projects, research, data analysis, and assisting with the day-to-day operations of the team.

What You'll Do:
- Provide root cause analysis for all constituents to better understand pain points and determine recommendations to improve customer, Runner, and merchant experiences
- Assist with operational programming to test and understand the impact of programming to reduce bad customer experiences
- Utilize external benchmarking data to measure performance and impact of quality operations programming
- Support various H-E-B pilot programs and projects related to Runner behavior and retention
- Assist with day-to-day operations of the team
Skills You Have:
- This role can help springboard your career in quality operations and allow you to grow in many different directions. You do not need to have formal training, but we will ask you to speak about how your background has prepared you for the work you’ll be doing as a member of the Operations team. Translatable backgrounds that might be successful include industrial engineering, operations research, supply chain,or a similar mix of training and experience that you think will make you successful on our team.

- You are self-motivated, resourceful, and able to execute assigned tasks efficiently and effectively
- You are curious, thorough, and are eager to dive into the details, ask questions, and solve problems
- You have strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- You can build rapport and work collaboratively with others on a team

Where you’ll work: This is a hybrid role, meaning you’ll work from home roughly three days per week and collaborate with other team members in person at our HQ in Austin, Texas for the remaining work days.
