As the Director, E-Commerce Merchandising, you will develop and drive the strategy of our Merchandising team to improve customer conversion and retention. You will utilize  your experience and understanding of ecommerce trends, data, algorithmic recommendations, in-app promotion, and editorial curation to drive revenue growth and enhance the overall customer experience. This position leads our Merchandising team and reports to the VP, Revenue

What You'll Do

    • Develop, evolve, and execute the ecommerce merchandising strategy in alignment with overall business objectives, customer experience, and merchant success
    • Oversee the planning and execution of promotions, seasonal campaigns, and related product launches, ensuring timely execution and alignment with marketing and sales strategies
    • Utilize data-driven insights and analytics to analyze performance, identify trends, optimize product assortment, and develop an holistic merchandising strategy that drives orders and profitability
    • In partnership with the Integrated Marketing team, develop and align marketing campaigns with merchandising efforts to acquire new customers, retain existing customers, and strategically drive category and merchant adoption
    • Lead a team of merchandising professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to drive excellence and achieve department goals
    • Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability within the merchandising team, promoting a positive work environment and a passion for excellence
    • In partnership with the Business Analytics and CRM teams, identify opportunities and provide strategic recommendations to build customer and merchant value by introducing new categories, merchants, and use cases to customers
    • In partnership with the Integrated Marketing and Brand teams, add merchant locations and curate compelling editorial categories that solidify Favor as a local authority in Texas
    • Collaborate with the Sales, Business Analytics, and CRM teams to drive success for existing merchant partners, and lay the groundwork for new merchant partnership opportunities
    • Develop and optimize a campaign calendar to drive category and merchant awareness
    • Partner with Product, Business Analytics, and Data Science teams to develop and implement merchandising tools, processes, algorithms and best practices to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and develop recommendations that drive conversion and retention
    • Stay current on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in the e-commerce space

Skills You Have

    • A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, merchandising, or related field
    • A master of business administration degree is preferred
    • 10 years of experience in ecommerce merchandising, with at least 4 years in a leadership role
    • A proven track record of driving revenue growth and optimizing merchandising strategies in a fast-paced e-commerce environment
    • A demonstrated track record of creating strategic relationships across the business while driving alignment on high-priority, high-visibility initiatives
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions
    • A deep understanding of e-commerce platforms, technologies, and best practices, with proficiency in e-commerce analytics tools and systems
    • Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities while meeting deadlines
    • Ability to partner seamlessly with cross-functional teams across an organization
