Job Description:
We are seeking a Virtual Assistant to support the growth of an emerging music act by driving community engagement and industry outreach. The VA will focus on organic marketing efforts, building relationships with fans and industry contacts, and positioning the band’s identity within relevant online communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage community engagement in niche online forums (Reddit, Discord, Instagram comments, AI/tech communities, etc.)
- Represent the band authentically in discussions, creating awareness and driving fan growth
- Research and identify relevant industry contacts (playlist curators, bloggers, radio hosts, etc.)
- Reach out to industry professionals via cold emails/messages (with training & guidance provided)
- Track outreach, engagement, and responses in an organized system (Notion, Monday, or tool of choice)
- Collaborate with band manager to refine outreach strategy and fan engagement initiatives
Must-Have Requirements
- Strong written and spoken English (clear, professional, and engaging communication)
- Experience in community building, social media engagement, or influencer/brand outreach
- Research skills for identifying relevant forums, contacts, and placement opportunities
- Self-starter with ability to work independently and creatively
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using productivity tools (Notion, Monday, or similar)
- Enthusiasm for music, entertainment, or creative industries
