About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Social Media & Operations Assistant to support a growing education and tutoring organization. This role combines digital marketing, content creation, and light administrative support to strengthen brand visibility, improve client communication, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

You’ll play a key role in rebuilding our online presence, maintaining consistency across platforms, and supporting program logistics — including attendance tracking, renewals, and digital magazine promotion.

Key Responsibilities
1. Social Media & Marketing (Approx. 60–70%)
● Manage and maintain a consistent posting schedule across Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube (LinkedIn a plus).
● Create engaging graphics, reels, and short-form videos using Canva or similar tools.
● Write error-free, on-brand captions and posts that align with the organization’s mission and programs.
● Repurpose existing materials (videos, lesson clips, student features) for online distribution.
● Manage comments, DMs, and community engagement during business hours.
● Track basic analytics (reach, engagement, inquiries) and provide a weekly performance summary.

2. Operations & Administrative Support (Approx. 30–40%)
● Perform weekly attendance reconciliation across both in-person and virtual tutoring sessions.
● Track each student’s remaining lesson balance and proactively notify parents about upcoming renewals.
● Maintain and update spreadsheets and lesson trackers using Google Sheets.
● Support teachers with scheduling, attendance verification, and basic coordination.
● Assist with light data entry and organization of internal records.

Required Skills & Qualifications
● Fluent, native-level English with impeccable grammar and writing skills.
● 3+ years of experience in social media management, content creation, or administrative support.
● Proven experience using Canva, Meta Business Suite, and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
● Basic video editing skills (CapCut, iMovie, or Adobe Express).
● Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
● Self-motivated, creative, and able to work independently while meeting deadlines.
● Must have a reliable home office setup (fast internet, quiet workspace, headset).

Nice-to-Have Experience
● Previous work in education, tutoring, youth programs, or publishing.
● Familiarity with Zoom, Google Classroom, or similar platforms.
● Experience writing newsletters or managing email campaigns (Mailchimp, ConvertKit).
● Understanding of basic social media SEO and growth strategies. Performance Indicators (KPIs)
● Maintain a consistent posting schedule (5–7 posts/week) with strong engagement.
● 100% accuracy in all public-facing content (no grammar/spelling issues).
● Weekly reconciliation of student attendance and timely renewal reminders.
● Demonstrated improvement in social reach, engagement, and inquiries within the first 90 days.

Schedule & Collaboration
● Full-time, 40 hours per week.
● Work hours aligned with U.S. Eastern Time.
● Daily check-ins or end-of-day progress reports via Slack, WhatsApp, or email.
● Collaboration with the business owner and instructional staff for ongoing projects
