Job Description

Support a new medical practice by handling patient intakeaccurate EHR documentation, and insurer/adjuster communications. Manage inbox triage, create and track follow-ups, and (if applicable) serve as first-line call handler via VOIP (e.g., RingCentral). The role begins part-time with flexible daily allocation (still within US business hours) and scales as patient volume grows. Strict HIPAA/PHI handling and BAA execution required.

Key responsibilities:

    • Patient intake & scheduling; reminders and confirmations
    • EHR updates/attachments; maintain complete, timely charts
    • Insurance/adjuster liaison: emails, authorizations, document requests, status tracking
    • Inbox triage; draft provider responses; escalate urgent issues
    • VOIP call handling (if patient-facing): inbound/outbound, routing, call notes
    • Quality control on data accuracy, completeness, and follow-ups
    • Light admin/process support; create simple checklists/templates as needed

MUST HAVE

    • Proven healthcare admin experience with EHR data entry & documentation accuracy
    • HIPAA knowledge & adherence; willing to sign BAA; strict PHI confidentiality
    • Clear, professional English (phone + email); patient-friendly manner (elderly population)
    • US business hours availability with day-to-day flexibility (workload spikes)
    • Tech-ready setup; familiarity with VOIP (e.g., RingCentral) and productivity tools
    • Detail-oriented, proactive QC mindset; flags gaps, missing docs, and delays
