Job Description
You’ll build and execute a simple, consistent social media program for an accounting/tax services brand. The focus is on turning owner-provided content ideas into a clear monthly strategy and calendar, producing and scheduling posts, and keeping channels active with professional, educational content.
Core Responsibilities
- Create a monthly content strategy & calendar (themes, topics, formats, posting cadence).
- Draft, design, and schedule posts across primary platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook; TikTok if relevant).
- Repurpose firm updates, FAQs, and tax/accounting tips into short-form posts, carousels, and simple videos.
- Write clear, on-brand copy with basic hook/CTA optimization.
- Perform light community management (monitor comments/DMs, surface questions/lead cues).
- Provide a simple weekly summary (what went live, what’s scheduled, any quick wins).
- Maintain an asset library (templates, brand elements, content tracker).
MUST-HAVE Qualifications
- Proven SMM experience creating strategy, calendars, and scheduled content for a service business.
- Hands-on execution: design (Canva or similar), copywriting, basic short-form video editing (CapCut/Descript/Adobe Rush).
- Scheduling tools experience (Meta Business Suite, Buffer, Later, Hootsuite, or similar).
- Strong English writing skills (concise, professional, on-brand).
- Organized & proactive: can work from owner’s ideas with minimal back-and-forth and hit deadlines.
- Comfortable with professional/educational tone suitable for finance/tax audiences.
- Reliable internet, availability for overlap with U.S. EST for quick check-ins.
Nice-to-Haves
- Familiarity with email marketing basics (Mailchimp/Klaviyo) for repurposing posts into simple newsletters.
- Basic analytics reporting (channel insights, post performance, recommendations).
- Awareness of SEO/keyword principles for captions and blog/website repurposing.
- Experience supporting accounting, finance, or professional services brands.
