As Creative Director you will play an integral role in the Assurance brand evolution, lead Assurance's existing book of work, ensuring that creative is impactful, compelling, tied to business goals and KPIs. 

Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, the Creative Director will be a key player in the brand strategy process and help define how our brand is expressed in everything we do.

This role is highly flexible, but hybrid, anticipate about 15% in the Seattle office.

Responsibilities include:

    • Brand Development 
    • Deeply understand Assurance’s customers and brand strategy, help define how the brand is expressed to customers, and ensure the brand is brought to life in a resonant and meaningful way in all creative executions and channels. 

    • Grow and Develop a Team 
    • Be responsible for leading a team of talented designers, empower the team to do their best work every day while providing guidance and mentorship for growth and career development. 

    • Lead Creative Direction and Development 
    • Inspire and lead exceptional creative development that is grounded in business strategy, plus encourage the team to try new things and think differently about the creative expression of the Assurance brand as it evolves.  Ensure we have the right processes in place to manage, measure, and report on the team’s work and proper KPIs to track this work against. 

    • Across these 3 areas of responsibility, this person will: 
    • Oversee the development of all creative for campaigns and content, including improving upon existing processes and methods of collaboration 
    • Develop brand guidelines and create new ways to express the Assurance brand 
    • Provide thought leadership on how creative is utilized and strengthen the process for briefing and executing creative work with stakeholders 
    • Build relationships and manage outside agencies and vendors (as needed) 
    • Stay current with the competitive landscape, emerging trends, and customer behavior  
    • Bring cultural fluency in terms of trend awareness, design drivers, and overall social themes 

The ideal candidate will have:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience 
    • 10+ years of creative design & direction, concept-development, and creative team leadership experience. Deep experience in digital marketing and technology marketing a must.  
    • A track record of success in B2C branding and marketing.  Some experience with performance marketing highly preferred 
    • Fluency in Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Proficiency with CSS and HTML 
    • Experience creating solutions for multiple channels (such as digital, social, print, advertising and direct), including development and production  
    • Deep understanding of UI, UX, and design thinking principles and best practices
