As a Senior UX Writer at Assurance, you will play an integral role in helping us guide customers through the complicated journeys of understanding and purchasing insurance and financial products.  You will work closely with our UX research, UX design and product management teams to develop a clear understanding of customers' needs, and drive our thinking around how to create product copy that minimizes cognitive load and earns customer trust. You will be responsible for creating product micro-copy – CTAs, questions, surveys, tool tips, etc. – across the breadth of Assurance’s digital experience, as well as owning the structure and contents of a chatbot intended to help customers easily get access to resources and answers.

This position is responsible for advocating for Assurance customers and creating copy to help them complete important tasks throughout their research, purchase and post-purchase journeys. You will collaborate with our Brand Marketing team to establish and reinforce a consistent voice between marketing and product copy, and work cross-functionally with UX researchers, product managers, engineers, data scientists and others to drive measurable improvements to our customer experience. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Product, Consumer Experience.

· 3-5+ years experience in a UX Writing role

· A demonstrated track record of driving improvements to product copy which have led to measurable business impact

· A deep understanding of the UX writing process, including research, ideation and experimentation

· A passion for solving core product problems through the lens of written communication

· Experience collaborating with multiple disciplines including UX research, product, design, engineering, data scientists and more  

· Structured thinking and clear communication (both written and oral)

 

Note: Assurance is required by multiple state and city laws to include the salary range on position postings when hiring in those specific locals. The salary range for this position will be between ($110,000 to $150,000) and may be eligible for additional bonus or commission plans + benefits. Eligibility to participate in the bonus or commission plans is subject to the rules governing those programs, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and/or organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
