The Director of Executive Communications will play a key role in shaping and executing the communication strategy for Assurance’s executive leadership team. This is a new role that will work closely with executive leadership by providing strategic guidance, developing impactful communications plans and creating compelling content that fosters employee engagement, organizational alignment and relationships with key business stakeholders. It requires exceptional communication and interpersonal skills as well as a deep understanding of employee engagement. In addition, this role will collaborate closely with the broader communications team to advance internal and external campaigns.   

Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute a comprehensive executive communications strategy aligned with the company’s mission, strategic priorities and values. 
    • Serve as a trusted partner and advisor to executive leadership, ensuring effective communication and messaging that is clear, authentic and aligned with the overarching brand narrative.
    • Develop and manage internal executive-led communication initiatives, supporting with talking points, email communication, and presentation decks designed to foster engagement and alignment; ensure consistency in tone, style and content.
    • Partner with teams across the business to advance initiatives related to DEIB, Learning & Development, Human Resources and more, ensuring these resonate with employees across all levels and functions.
    • Partner with broader communications team to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging. As media and speaking opportunities involving executive leadership arise, collaborate with public relations team to support messaging and prepare executives. 
    • Experiment with new, creative ways to reach employees with relevant news and information, driving engagement in priority initiatives.
    • Create and implement metrics reports to measure effectiveness in the spirit of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications

    • 10+ years of relevant experience, including experience with executive communication in complex organizations, employee engagement and change management
    • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and written and verbal communications skills with the ability to translate business objectives into clear and concise communications 
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
    • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • High level of professionalism and integrity with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
$160,000 - $220,000 a year
Note: Assurance is required by multiple state and city laws to include the salary range on position postings when hiring in those specific locals. The salary range for this position will be between $160,000 and $220,000 and may be eligible for additional bonus or commission plans + benefits. Eligibility to participate in the bonus or commission plans is subject to the rules governing those programs, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and/or organizational performance. In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.
