Role Summary 

We are looking for a Senior Sales Account Executive to join Athennian’s sales team. This person will play a critical role in Athennian’s growth by articulating our value proposition to the market and by connecting prospective customers to our solutions.

This position is open to remote work options in the following time zones: EST, CST, MST and PST 


    • Ability to run executive discovery meetings and uncover personal and organizational pain
    • Full-cycle responsibility across the sales process from discovery to customer
    • Comfort with uncovering MEDDICC early in an evaluation 
    • Provide accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts to sales leadership
    • Meet and exceed all assigned goals relating to the new bookings quota and growth targets
    • Be a team player who enjoys collaborating, sharing, and building best practices with other team members
    • Eloquently articulate the cost of not taking action as well as competitive differentiation
    • Run early stage product demonstrations and accurate scope requirements in advance of more complex Solution Consultant demonstrations

Success in this Role is Measured by:

    •  Meeting quota and other OKRs
    • Good corporate citizenship and demonstrating cultural stewardship


    • 5+ years of successful technology sales experience
    • Experience selling SaaS solutions
    • Experience using a modern sales stack (Salesforce, SalesLoft, Gong, Sales Navigator, etc.)
    • Experience handling software contract terms, procurement processes, RFP and proposal writing
    • Strong business acumen, executive conversational ability and negotiation skills
    • Accurate sales forecasting skills

Bonus if you bring:

    • MBA, JD or similar Masters degree 
    • Direct or indirect legal experience
    • Knowledge of corporate finance or M&A
    • Experience selling or supporting software to the legal industry
    • Startup environment

In this role, at 3 months, you will have:

    • A health and growing pipeline of new sales opportunities
    • Growing collaborating and building strong relationships with peers and other partners across the organization
    • Ability to run short, simple product demonstrations
    • Signed your first new client(s)

In this role, at 6 months, you will have:

    • A robust pipeline of opportunities
    • Ability to run initial product demonstrations
    • Be signing new clients every month
    • Be contributing new ideas and value back to your peers
    • Be working toward signing several large new clients in the range of $150k-$400k
    • Be competing for top quarterly performer

In this role, at 12 months, you will have:

    • Expert domain and product knowledge
    • Be viewed internally as a leader, helping new team members ramp up
    • Be significantly and consistently exceeding a $1m+ annual sales target
