About the Role

    • Embrace the role of a Sr./Platform Architect at Atlan, where you'll drive the evolution of our backend systems. With ownership over one or multiple crucial components, you'll collaborate across teams to craft architectural solutions that resonate with our tech standards and deadlines. Beyond this, you'll spearhead advancements in scalability, reliability, cost efficiency, and latency optimization. By leveraging your architectural prowess, you'll refine our product and platform, ushering in a new era of maturity. As a forward-looking architect, you'll consider the 1-week, 1-month, and 6-month roadmaps, ensuring scalability and adaptability while avoiding over-engineering. This is a Remote First Role and can be based anywhere in EMEA or APAC.

    • Effective Communication: Thrive in a remote work environment through meticulous documentation and clear communication.
    • Systems Expertise: Apply your prowess in system design patterns to architect scalable applications, while staying proficient in Kubernetes and other relevant technologies.

What makes us a match? 😍

    • Proven Expertise: 8+ years of experience as a Software Development Professional, including hands-on technical architecture and systems integration involvement ideally with recent experience within the Data SaaS industry.
    • Architectural Acumen: At least 5 years of experience in Architect roles with a strong focus on platform architecture, or a minimum of 2 years as building, developing and deploying architecture for platform-first SaaS products.
    • Decision-Making: Ability to lead technology decisions, including RFP processes, from a technical perspective.
    • Educational Foundation: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
    • Framework Proficiency: Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture Frameworks like TOGAF.
    • Cloud & Container Mastery: In-depth knowledge of public cloud environments and container ecosystems (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Big Data Experience: Successfully worked with systems handling large data volumes.
    • Tech Impact: Share your tech journey, highlighting achievements, methodologies, and outcomes.
