Do you live and breathe security? Want to battle villains every day? Need to work on important problems, your way We're expanding our security capability and looking for smart people to help us. Does hacking our products and their code sound like your thing? As a new graduate in our security team, you'll be watching over our corporate environment and Atlassian cloud services which host many tens of thousands of customers. Using your skills and experience in various languages and tech stacks you will discover and fix security vulnerabilities within Atlassian products and services, hone your pentesting and Red Team skills by analyzing those, participate in architecture and code reviews, threat modeling, and work closely with all the Atlassian engineering groups.

Ambitious and driven, you are excited about the opportunity to work with smart people on complex challenges. You’re a natural team player, inquisitive and enjoy dissecting and tackling hard problems (the more challenging the better). Whilst passionate about your work and delivering amazing quality, you’re still able to go fast, which means killer instincts when it comes to the workload and using your time wisely. You’ll learn a lot, but you’ll also need to be able to stand up for your own ideas when the time comes.

Not eligible for Visa sponsorship

    • Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or a related technical field and graduating by June 2020
    • Experience with Java, Python, JavaScript, or other related object-oriented programming languages
    • Great skills writing clean, efficient code
    • Deep understanding of data structures, in particular how they are implemented and how to apply them to solve problems
    • Familiarity with the application of common design patterns
    • You view capture the flag competitions, crack-mes, and "unbreakable" products as challenges to your honor, hacking at them until they yield.

It's great, but not required, if you have:

    • Real passion for collaborating with colleagues to build technical solutions to hard problems
    • Have a real passion for Application Security, as demonstrated by previous internships, work experience, projects, or publications

Ecosystem Security
Ecosystem security team is responsible for ensuring the third-party apps in Atlassian marketplaces and the developer platform we provide for supporting those third-party apps are secure. We are working on scalable ways to identify vulnerabilities in thousands on apps in our cloud, server and DC application Marketplaces through automation, bug bounty program, security reviews and finding ways to empower these small Marketplace vendors to build secure products for Atlassian customers. We are looking for great engineers who are motivated to identify scaleable ways to secure products and software. If working with thousands of Atlassian marketplace developers to improve the security of their applications, and ultimately improve the security of millions of users that deploy and use these applications with Atlassian products excites you, this role is a great opportunity to do that!
