Do you love research, working with people, and excel at applying insights to influence product design and strategy? Atlassian is looking for a Senior Research Manager for Data to join our growing team of research experts.
Reporting to the Global Head of Research, you will work with a cross functional, collaborative group that is helping Atlassian achieve our mission to unleash the potential of teams all over the world. This is a unique role supporting several of the important products, services and teams who are responsible for defining and bringing to life Atlassian's data strategy. You'll grow and manage a team of researchers who will work with our data teams to provide better services and experiences for our customers through the use of data. This is an area we are investing in heavily and our Research team is at the heart of helping uncover what our teams need to help them work prioritize the impactful work and execute effectively.
Our research team is a group of passionate mixed methods researchers, spread across the globe. We work together to continuously improve our craft as researchers and our ability to support Atlassian to build better experiences for our customers and users.
- Experience helping shape strategy and priorities for senior leadership teams at a program level.
- Experience hiring and managing researchers, research managers and research teams, guiding their craft, management capabilities and career development.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and conducting high-quality user research (qualitative and quantitative) that has had an impact.
- Examples of research communication that influences and inspires change. You know how to advocate for research and researchers; you rely on qualitative and quantitative data to create effective ways of reinforcing your team's insights so they resonate and are impactful across diverse audiences, you work in an open and collaborative way.
It would be nice if you had, but we appreciate you popping your hat in the ring:
Experience doing or managing research in a highly technical domain, especially in data, data engineering, machine learning, ad technology or other data intensive domains OR a technical or data background.
Postgraduate qualifications are a bonus, particularly in the areas of psychology, anthropology, sociology, human factors or a related subject area.
At Atlassian, we tie our base pay ranges to role and level. In the United States, that means your base pay ranges will fall into one of three geographic pay zones depending on your location. Our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:
Zone A: $189,100 - $290,100
Zone B: $170,200 - $261,100
Zone C: $157,000 - $240,800
Within each range, base pay is ultimately determined based on your skills, expertise, and experience. This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and/or equity.
