About the role:
Atmosphere is seeking a dynamic production leader to help oversee Atmosphere Live Channels. The ideal candidate has strong writing and communication skills, with experience creating videos across various platforms. The candidate should be both strong in ideation as well as in production. An interest in news and current events around the world is a must. This role is based in our Austin, Texas office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the daily creation, production, and programming of Atmosphere Live Channels
- Stay on top of news and trends and pitch story ideas
- Manage show production teams, approving copy, story selection, segment production, and execution
- Enforce standards and practices that ensure consistently mistake-free, quality content
- Work and thrive in a fast-paced environment
REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of editorial responsibility and people management experience
- BS/BA in journalism, communication, or related field
- Strong video editing skills and background
- Proactive work ethic
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask
- Efficiency with Google Sheets and Docs
- Natural ability to connect and build strong relationships with others, demonstrating strong emotional intelligence and an ability to communicate clearly
- Proven leadership, personal integrity, and charisma to build consensus with colleagues
- Proven ability to have hard conversations with tact and care
