About the role: As a Risk Dispute Specialist, you will provide support to AtoB customer’s fuel card chargeback program. You will investigate claims, compare multiple avenues of processing disputes/chargebacks, and decide on the best path to resolution.
As a Risk Dispute Specialist, you’ll help us investigate member dispute claims, coordinate funds recovery with customers, and resolve claims in accordance with Federal Regulations and network rules.

In this role you will:

    • Investigate, evaluate, and process disputes/chargebacks for purchases and payments
    • Be a continuous learner due to updated network regulatory requirements and customer guidelines
    • Monitor systems to detect possible fraudulent behavior related to card usage
    • Contact customers/cardholders to investigate possible fraud
    • Deliver great customer experience through various channels (email and phone) with customers and cardholders
    • Track and action case within timeframes based on regulatory guidelines and customer requirements
    • Make recommendations to implement changes in our continuous efforts to improve processes
    • Respond to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders regarding chargeback requirements, system processing and functionality, dispute lifecycle, claim status, and data input
    • Engage cross-functionally (support, engineering, etc.) to ensure we are managing customers fairly, accurately, and competitively
    • Enter data into customer-specific systems to accurately record and keep track of cardholder, card, transaction, and case information
    • Develop expertise on credit and debt management
    • Participate in special projects focused on our risk operations, such as collaborating with our support team, business operations, etc. to improve our policies and processes

What we're looking for:

    • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
    • Experience within small business cards, payments, lending, or related industries
    • Experience collaborating with stakeholders
    • Experience with fast-paced tech company or startup
    • Excellent communication (oral and written)
    • Excitement in continuously improving processes 
    • 1-2+ years of experience with issuing disputes (purchases & payments)
