The opportunity

We’re looking for a Subject Team Lead - Social Sciences to who’s passionate about leading people and delivering projects on time. You’ll guide a talented team to create high-quality content for students and teachers across Australia.

In this role, you’ll lead the social sciences and production teams (7 direct and 4 indirect reports). You’ll balance day-to-day leadership with shaping how we deliver content, always looking for ways to improve how we work. You’ll take ownership of content delivery, team performance and continuous improvement.

This role suits someone confident in managing deadlines and comfortable leading a team: setting goals, running 1:1s, and giving positive and constructive feedback.

At Atomi, we move quickly and keep things transparent. Once you’re in the interview stage, we’ll make sure you get meaningful feedback and insights from the team.
For this role, you can expect the process to look like this:
Initial Screen w/ Atomi's People Team
• Interview Round 1: Technical Abilities
• Technical Take Home Assessment: ~1 hour
• Interview Round 2: Take Home Review / Culture & Motivations

Please note: this is a 12-month fixed-term contract

What You'll Do

    • Lead and support a team of content creators working on social sciences courses
    • Use project tools like Google Sheets and JIRA to plan, track and manage work
    • Give regular feedback, run reviews and help your team grow
    • Hire, onboard and train new team members
    • Build a positive, collaborative team culture
    • Make sure content is clear, accurate, on-brand and grounded in pedagogy
    • Review work and provide constructive feedback to keep quality high
    • Stay across curriculum updates, teaching practice and competitor resources
    • Shape and deliver the subject content roadmap
    • Publish social sciences courses to the platform with a high level of accuracy
