The opportunity
We're looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer who can help us create outstanding user experiences while continuing to grow within our Engineering team.
We want people who write high-quality, maintainable code and understand how frontend decisions impact users in meaningful ways. You’ll have a chance to help shape our frontend experience, contribute to our design system, and work closely with a team that values collaboration, empathy, and impact.
This role is open to fully remote candidates (within Australia) and/or those who'd like to work from our head office in Ultimo, Sydney.
What You'll Do
- Depending on the squad you join, you might help us create new learning experiences that deeply engage students, build new teaching tools that power classrooms, or empower students and teachers with powerful insights.
- Manage complex frontend state and integrate with backend services while upholding best practices for performance, testing, and accessibility.
- Contribute to discussions on frontend architecture and help guide implementation with a pragmatic, quality-focused approach.
- Provide mentorship to mid-level and junior engineers as appropriate.
What You'll Bring to Atomi
- Proven experience as a Senior Frontend Engineer or similar role, ideally in a growing B2B SaaS environment
- Strong proficiency in React, Next.js, and TypeScript, with a solid understanding of modern frontend development practices
- Hands-on experience contributing to a variety of projects
- Solid understanding of state management techniques for large-scale applications
- Experience integrating frontend applications with backend APIs and services
- A strong appreciation for frontend performance and accessibility standards
