Atomic Machines is ushering in a new era in micromanufacturing with its Matter Compiler (MC) technology. The MC enables new classes of micromachines to be designed and built by offering manufacturing processes and a materials library that is inaccessible to semiconductor manufacturing methods. The MC promises to unlock MEMS manufacturing both for the many device classes that never could be made by semiconductor methods but also to open up entirely new classes. Furthermore, the MC is fully digital in the way 3D printing is digital, but where 3D printing produces parts of a single material using a single process, the MC is a multi-process, multi-material technology: bits and raw materials go in and complete, functional micromachines come out.  The Atomic Machines team has also created an exciting first device – one that was only made possible by the existence of the Matter Compiler – that we will be unveiling to the world soon.

Our offices are in Emeryville and Santa Clara, California.

About the Role:
This high-visibility role blends front-of-house excellence with behind-the-scenes execution, anchoring our candidate experience and ensuring everything runs smoothly across both offices. As a Recruiting Coordinator at Atomic Machines, you’ll partner closely with our recruiting team to manage the logistics of the candidate experience—scheduling interviews, requesting availability, and owning all calendaring responsibilities. You’ll be working across both offices and with candidates who may be located in different time zones, requiring a high level of precision, organization, and foresight. Your attention to detail and ability to resolve scheduling conflicts before they arise will be critical to ensuring a seamless process.

This role is ideal for someone with a growth mindset—someone who thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment and takes pride in crafting thoughtful, polished experiences. You’ll be the first point of contact for candidates learning about our innovative company, helping to demonstrate how we approach every interaction with intention and a first-principles mindset. Beyond recruiting coordination, you’ll collaborate with the People team on internal events and culture-building initiatives that shape how we grow together. This is a 90-day contract role with the potential to convert to full-time based on performance and business needs.

What You’ll Do:

    • Schedule interviews and coordinate candidate logistics for both Emeryville and Santa Clara offices.
    • Ensure a professional and seamless candidate experience from first contact through final interviews.
    • Maintain candidate tracking systems, organize feedback, and support recruiting process improvements.
    • Use lever and google calendar to ensure each interview is booked appropriately in our system.
    • Book travel for candidates as needed.
    • Help maintain recruiting documentation and update internal resources like interview guides and candidate FAQs.

What You’ll Need:

    • A first-principles mindset — you question assumptions, reframe problems from the ground up, and approach challenges with a foundational understanding rather than relying solely on precedent.
    • 1-3 years of administrative, office coordination, or recruiting support experience (a startup or high-growth environment is a plus).
    • Mastery of Google Workspace (especially Calendar, Docs, Sheets).
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Sound judgment, professionalism, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Comfort working independently and collaboratively across teams.
    • Bachelor's Degree required.
