We are seeking an experienced principal field applications engineer focused on supporting evaluations, implementation solutions, and troubleshooting and resolving product performance issues for local customers. The position will be responsible for setting up evaluations, process workflows, installation plans, and troubleshooting procedures. The successful Principal Applications Engineer candidate will report to the VP and Country Manager directly and will work closely with other functions of the company.
Responsibilities:
- Work with customers to solve issues related to products and processes
- Provides technical expertise through customer consultation, product demonstrations, installation and maintenance of company products
- Support qualification testing of new products at customer sites
- Perform calibrations and validations
- Interface with customers on product requirements and specifications
Requirements/Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with mass spectrometry and/or gas chromatography equipment
- More experienced candidates are encouraged to apply
- BS or MS degree in chemical engineering or physics
- Relevant experience with semiconductor manufacturing, metrology, and process control
- Work experience with installation and troubleshooting of process control sensors and systems
- Strong problem-solving skills (issues containment, root cause analysis, corrective action)
- Aptitude for complex electromechanical equipment diagnostics and repair
- Willingness to travel ~ 50% of the time.
- Self-organized and self-disciplined.
- Ability to work under pressure and with tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
