About the Growth team
As part of the Growth team you're joining an even bigger family. The Growth team exist to drive predictable, repeatable growth - for each team member, for Attest, for clients and for consumers. How? We combine expertise across content, technology, demand generation, business development, sales and account management; and by pulling together as a single team, we’re able to produce results that are greater than the sum of its parts.
What you’ll be doing
Winning new business. As a player-coach you’ll be responsible for a team quota, with 1-3 direct reports, closing your own deals and coaching your team to win theirs.
Training & development. You’ll be responsible for the onboarding of your team in-line with existing best practices; you’ll also hold regular 1:1 sessions, and provide ongoing coaching to help them develop their skills and win ratios.
Forecasts & reporting. You will lead regular team forecasting and pipeline review sessions, and provide accurate forecasts and reporting back to the business.
Continuous improvement. As a leader you will also be expected to look for patterns and areas for improvement across your team and the wider commercial team, based on the metrics you monitor day-to-day. You should also test and develop new best-practices and training modules that could applied across the commercial team.
What you bring
Proven results in B2B SaaS sales. Strong track record of individual attainment over a sustained period of time in a B2B SaaS environment, ideally selling to consumer brands. Experience of Sandler, Challenger, value-based sales methodologies a bonus.
Leadership. Leadership isn’t a title, it’s a behavioural trait. You’ll have evidence of taking the initiative, sharing best practices, and helping others around you even if you’ve not held a leadership position before.
Teamwork. You’ll have consistently shown that you think about others, and contextualise your success within the wider goals of the wider business.
High standards. As a team member, you’ll have consistently set the bar ever higher, operating to standards above the mean. This is both in terms of results, and your attitude and behaviour.
Business acumen. You have a clear understanding of business, make decisions based on data, and propose solutions when you spot problems.
Scalable success. Individual success is amazing, but how will you translate your personal success into the success of your team? You think deeply about what works and what doesn’t, and what others can learn from this, then share your knowledge.
Measures of success
Sales cycles. Keeping your sales cycle to below average for comparable deal sizes and testing new ways to reduce them year-on-year (beyond discounts).
Conversion rates. Maintain above average conversion rates from Opportunity to Closed/Won; testing best practices to continue increasing them year-on-year.
Forecasting. Accurate forecasting on a rolling monthly/quarterly basis.
Predictable pipeline. Look at initiatives, training and work with the business development team to ensure you always have a healthy pipeline of leads.
Time to ramp. Create specific coaching and training programmes that leverage your territory and product/market knowledge to ensure ramp time for new junior AEs is minimised.
Smooth processes. Work with others across the team - Business Development, Account Management, ACE, Product, Marketing - to evolve and improve processes so clients enjoy a smooth sales experience that results in greater retention rates.
