About the Role:
Augmedix is seeking a Manager, Global Payroll to lead our global payroll function. Reporting to the Controller, this key role will lead our global payroll function for employees in our offices around the globe - including the U.S., Bangladesh and India.
Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end payroll process for a 1,400+ employee growing technology & services company operating globally, including: oversight of global payroll and review of all payroll related changes including benefits and tax deductions (medical, dental, vision, 401(k), GTL, healthcare FSA, dependent care FSA)
- Perform monthly payroll close duties, including the preparation of period-end accruals and monthly journal entries for all payroll and benefits, including preparation of reconciliations of payroll accounts
- Perform monthly calculations and accruals for stock-based compensation
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and international tax laws
- Manage external relationships with 3rd party vendors, government audits, and support analysis for procedures to validate and reconcile payroll data
- Manage our public equity compensation software system, Shareworks, and upload quarterly RSU, SAR, and share grants
- Ensure daily stock option exercises, RSU and NSO and ISO’s releases and settlements are properly handled and recorded
- Ensure SOX compliance by adhering to internal policies and controls, as well as compliance with external laws and regulatory guidance, while maintaining documentation for payroll processes and implementing improvements
- Partnering with Human Resources, Technology, and Business Support teams to implement a third party payroll system in Bangladesh, and continuously evaluate the scalability of existing processes and technologies
- Oversee a growing outsourced payroll function in our Indian operations with a view to potentially in-source it in the coming years
- Manage the processing of multi-state payroll and regulatory filings utilizing ADP and oversee and manage the processing of international payroll and regulatory filings
- Create an excellent employee experience through the development of proactive communications and by managing payroll and equity-related inquiries
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of relevant experience working, including managerial experience
- Experience with ADP or other similar payroll platforms.
- Experience working with share based compensation plans that include stock options, RSUs, and and SAR’s
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a similar role. Bonus if you have CCP Certification.
- Strong customer service orientation and passion for building processes that scale
- Growth mindset and focus on relationships and partnership
$130,000 - $150,000 a year
Salary range is listed above. There are several factors that determine final pay for a position including location and experience. Total compensation will typically include salary + performance bonus + equity.
