About the Role

The AutoFi Analytics team is looking for an experienced Sr. Business Analyst to help facilitate data-backed decision making across the company. This individual will sit on the centralized Analytics team and report to the Head of Analytics. The role will include a combination of business-as-usual reporting responsibilities and self-driven analytical projects. The individual will partner closely with leaders from adjacent business areas and ensure that those leaders have the critical information they need to make decisions. Additionally, the individual will be expected to contribute to the long-term Analytical roadmap for at least, and likely more, business areas. The ideal candidate from this role has the technical, problem solving, and communication skills to transform complex, semi-mature datasets into effective strategic solutions to foundational business problems. 

Required Qualifications

    • 2 years experience working hands-on as a data consumer in SQL
    • Strong data acumen, with an ability to identify potential issues proactively
    • Eagerness to pursue solutions when issues are found
    • Comfortable working in unstructured and semi-mature datasets
    • Experience solving analytical problems independently, from ideation through implementation
    • Ability to distill complex problems down into their key components
    • Comfort leading presentations for executive-level audience's
    • Ability to create and deliver succinct, effective presentations that use clear data visualizations to tell a story
    • Experience using Python, R, SAS, or other statistical software to enhance data-backed analysis (preferred) 
    • Prior Automotive SaaS or FinTech Industry experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

    • Working with AutoFi's Head of Analytics, you will:

    • Partner with leaders in adjacent business areas to identify KPIs that drive toward long-term strategic success for AutoFi
    • Create effective, automated reporting to track these KPIs
    • Analyze and lead regular discussions on business performance against these KPIs, performing self-driven deep dives when questions arise
    • Identify data-backed opportunities for enhancements in 1-2 adjacent business segments
    • With the help of the Head of Analytics, develop and execute analytical plans to understand these opportunities and implement effective solutions
    • Lead discussions as the SME on data and performance for 1-2 adjacent business segments
    • Create and deliver succinct, audience-appropriate presentations for key analytical findings
    • Work closely with the Data team to ensure data health and stability, proactively identifying and escalating issues

The annual base salary range for this position is $110,000-$160,000. Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience and qualifications and local market conditions. Please note, the foregoing salary range does not reflect an employee’s total compensation package, which may include bonus, company equity, and health benefits.
