About the role

Reporting into the CFO you will support the Divisional/ Business Leaders within our Medical Communications capability, and other capabilities where required. You will cover financial planning, analysis & reporting, project finance support including developing, tracking, and improving upon KPI’s (e.g. Recovery, Utilization, Cost/FTE etc.), commercial support, including MSA negotiations, pricing, and pitch support; and ad-hoc analysis to support the business and group.

You will be an integral member of the Finance Leadership Team helping with key deliverables for the above functions.

What you'll do

    • Finance Business Partnering
    • Acting as a trusted business partner to the key stakeholders; by actively challenging and participating in decision making.Lead and coordinate the planning process (budgets and reforecasts).
    • Lead, manage and develop the finance teams across all central support functions and strategic functions.
    • Develop and maintain a board pack and KPI dashboard that helps to steer the senior leadership team with key strategic decisions.
    • Provide actionable analysis, insights, and recommendations to maximise financial performance, support commercial decision-making and make the right capital investments.
    • Delivering robust and accurate analysis of business performance for individual business sectors identifying risks, issues, and opportunities.
    • Driving change and leading the transformation process to establish a best-in-class FP&A and performance reporting function through technological, process, analysis, and reporting improvements.
    • Leading and owning business performance reporting through insights.
    • Challenging the status quo and building a holistic understanding of the business.
    • Challenging monthly performance to inform and facilitate decision making across multiple stakeholders.

    • Financial Deliverables
    • Manage the production and timely presentation of high quality divisional monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to both internal and external stakeholders in compliance with Group accounting policies.
    • Review and comment the divisional financial results including the key performance indicators and metrics that drive the divisional performance.
    • Ensuring internal reporting deadlines are met.
    • Manage all group deliverables in a timely manner
    • Anticipate and contribute to the annual audit.
    • Be the "technical expert" across the Finance function, advising on best practice and the application of revenue recognition and other accounting standards across the business

    • Commercial Support
    • Support the commercial organization where needed
    • Help track and analyse new sales opportunities for profitability
    • Negotiate favourable financial terms in MSA’s
    • Help track and analyse sales reporting and conversion to revenue

    • Other Leadership Functions:
    • Collaborate with the Finance Leadership team to develop and deliver the Finance Strategy
    • Develop and lead a team of finance professionals in support of the business

About you

    • 10 years of relevant work experience demonstrating continued growth and progression in the field
    • Qualified accountant with minimum 5+ years of PQE
    • Prior people leadership with demonstrated experience in coaching and developing direct reports required
    • Must be willing to travel and work 2-3 days a week in the office.
    • Excellent time management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
    • Flexibility to occasionally accommodate US time zone requirements
    • Self-starter organised and able to prioritise effectively.
    • High attention to detail with 'big picture' awareness.
