Aviya Aerospace Systems is a leader in engineering services and solutions for mission critical Aerospace and Defense applications. Aviya provides expertise in program management, systems, software, mechanical, and hardware engineering to many of the top-tier Aerospace and Defense Contractors. We have an immediate opening for a Hardware Test Engineer to join our engineering group in Toronto.
Specific Position Duties
- Work as part of the Hardware Test Engineering team on activities associated with hardware test panel development for product test, verification, and certification
- Capture schematics
- Perform circuit analysis
- Capture design documents
- Design/prototype/implement circuits as needed to accomplish a task
- Propose and implement solutions in order to meet product requirements
- Conduct component level and acceptance tests and verify the proposed solution
- Support system verification and validation
- Document changes/analysis for new circuits or modifications
- Responsible for troubleshooting panel issues as they arise
- General maintenance of existing test systems
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Support customer meetings and design reviews and perform independent design and analysis of complex designs as required
- Perform other related duties/tasks as required
Qualifications for position
- A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Recent graduates are welcome to apply
- Intimate understanding of circuit design and PCB design which will have optimal signal integrity
- Excellent troubleshooting/debugging abilities
- Can effectively use measurement instruments
- Must be able to work in a team as well as independently
- Very strong oral and written communication skills
- Expertise in hardware design activities, specifically requirements definition and management, requirements decomposition and traceability.
- Programming skills using C/C++, Python
- Working knowledge with FPGA programming (Verilog, VHDL)
- Working knowledge with PCB/CAD software
