Responsibilities

    • Lead and deliver client security maturity assessments, analysis, and reporting and related functions
    • Develop and assess security and incident response plans, playbooks, and presentations
    • Adjusting security maturity activities and agenda based on senior management input
    • Managing multiple relationships and stakeholders throughout major strategy and planning transformation
    • Ability to deliver NIST, ISO/IEC, CREST and other common framework gap or maturity assessments
    • Ability to build orchestration playbook workflow base on OpenC2 course of action methodology
    • Supporting the strategic direction for client engagements and associated activities
    • Evolve existing Awake Security Labs methodologies to enhance and improve our security practice
    • Provide training, present to small groups, write blogs, and speak at conferences such as Blackhat and BSides
    • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with little to no supervision
    • Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team effort
    • Ability to travel part time for customer engagements

Requirements

    • 2 or more years of hands on technical experience as a security consultant
    • 3 or more years of experience in security planning, maturity, and strategy
    • An individual who understands incident response and security operations
    • Understanding incident response methodologies, security plans, and controls with standards such as NIST ISO/IEC, CREST, etc.
    • Understanding existing and emerging Information response and detection capabilities and technologies
    • Ability to prepare findings and reports within the context of overall risk to the enterprise
    • Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks with little to no supervision
    • Ability to work independently or as part of a collaborative team effort
    • Ability to travel part time for customer engagements
    • A good understanding of network security and incident response

Other Desired Requirements

    • Excellent consulting and customer-facing skills
    • Ability to perform tabletop incident response exercises
    • 2 or more years having been in the field of incident response or monitoring as an analyst in a security operations center
