We are looking for a Manager of Developer Partnerships who is passionate about building new partnerships that will accelerate our revenue and new product initiatives. In this global role, you will bring passion and creativity in engaging with prospective partners across the games industry.

You will build partnership strategies as well as lead its execution, including sourcing and negotiating high-impact deals with developers.

In addition, you will interact with senior executives at our partner organizations and be a trusted evangelist for Backbone's products and priorities. Internally, you will be an advocate for our partners and bring the “voice of the developer” to inform cross-functional team discussions and business decisions. This role will report into the VP of Strategic Partnerships.

What you’ll be doing

    • In this global role, you will bring passion and creativity in engaging with game developers

    • In addition, you will interact with leads and executives at our partner organizations and be a trusted evangelist for Backbone's products and priorities
    • Internally, you will be an advocate for our partners and bring the “voice of the developer” to inform cross-functional team discussions and business decisions
    • This role will report into the VP of Strategic Partnerships
    • Lead the full life-cycle of partnership execution from initial partner engagement through close
    • Cultivate relationships with key players and decision-makers at potential partner companies
    • Articulate and refine Backbone's value proposition, to secure partner commitments to enter into mutually beneficial, sustainable relationships
    • Work with internal stakeholders to develop forecasts and models to measure the value and impact of potential partnerships
    • Work with the account management team and cross-functional colleagues including finance, marketing, operations, legal and product to ensure partner success and achieve defined KPIs

What you should have

    • 5+ years of proven experience in business development and partnerships experience
    • History of deal making experience including: product-driven deals, revenue-driven deals and first-of-kind partnership work, especially centering around gaming
    • Proven ability to work with internal cross-functional teams at early stages to define and articulate partner value within the context of Backbone
    • Knowledge of digital media and tech trends and an informed perspective on consumer applications of such trends
    • Exceptional communications skills (verbal and written) with the ability to inspire and engage C-level executives
    • Ability to develop new ideas and independently build a business case and pitch it to relevant stakeholders
    • Experience structuring partnerships at a high tempo
