BAM Communications, a bi-coastal PR agency headquartered in San Diego, is seeking an incredible biz dev person to join our growing team of 30+ people. This position is located in San Francisco, Toronto, or New York City. We're hiring for each market, and you must be located in one of the three. REQUIREMENTS:  

This is a relationship driven position. You MUST have solid relationships (at least 200) already in place with venture capitalists and well connected startup founders that you can leverage. You will need to show proof of these relationships so please, do not stretch the numbers of the relationships you have.
You have at least 4 years of sales experience and understand the value of nurturing and developing relationships.
You can prove a number of examples of closed deals in the price range of 60K and above. We work off of retainers that start at 10K a month for at least 6 months.
You can work independently and love that! We do NOT have a team in place in SF or Toronto, but if you're located in NYC, you'll be with our great team there.
PR experience is not required but would be a great bonus to have

Duties/Responsibilities:
Nurture and develop prospects by heavy networking (including planning and inviting people to our quarterly dinners), referrals, coffees/breakfasts and other meeting opportunities. Note: This is NOT a cold lead driven position. We have a team member already in place for that.
Fully understand and articulate the value of PR and how BAM is distinct
Establish a trusted advisor relationship with your contacts in order to determine their needs and goals
Create compelling proposals, present them in a compelling manner, and assist team in covering questions
Consistently achieve the quotas and biz dev metrics such as meetings, events, etc for each quarter
Demonstrate and uphold BAM’s core values consistently
Proactively offer ideas and lead implement of any tools, programs, or initiatives that contribute to BAM’s growth

Other Skills And Abilities:
We’re a PR agency, so excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must
Strong understanding of Radical Candor (book and principal we have at BAM) and ability to do it
Strong understanding of Extreme Ownership (book and principal we have at BAM)
Impressive AF presentation skills: you can wow
Love of technology, startups, and the crazy venture capitalist world
