As a Technical Designer at HPI (High Performance Identity), you will be joining a dynamic product development team based in Dunwoody, GA. This is a full-time opportunity for a candidate who is meticulous with details and driven by the technical and creative aspect of the design process. The Technical Designer of apparel will join an existing team of fashion and technical designers. The person in this role will bring with them drive and passion for developing technically sound garments. This position requires an out of the box creative thinker who can collaborate with the existing team, outside vendors, and across all levels of the organization. This position does occasionally require travel but not as a general rule.
 
What YOU will do:
·       Create detailed and comprehensive tech packs with use of Centric PLM system.
·       Firm knowledge of Adobe Illustrator to create technical drawings and oversee art needed for graphic screen print and embroidery as well as the ability to edit art as needed.
·       Clear understanding of screen print and embroidery applications for apparel.
·       Strong background working with both knit and woven fabrics.
·       Grade and revise detailed specs for garment development with accurate and specific POM’s.
·       Bring innovative ideas and solutions to the products and processes of PD.
·       Evaluate pre-production and top-of-production samples from outside vendors to determine    compliance of specs, construction and graphics.
·       Identify fit issues and the necessary corrections.
·       Spec garments and record accurate measurements within our PLM system.
·       Illustrate pattern corrections and style comments using photography and various platforms.
·       Clearly communicate detailed comments and address all garment corrections with factory representatives.
·       Collaborate with design team, sourcing and quality team to ensure desired product is achieved.
·       Conduct fit sessions by bringing fit history and taking notes on all points to comment on, on model or dress form.  Coordinate fittings prepared with technical packs and ensure size and fit consistency across product categories, create fit history.
·       Evaluate lab dips, fabric and trim submits with use of light box.
·       Request and submit fabrics and garments for lab testing as needed.
·       Monitor, record and follow up on progression of projects from prototypes, wear tests and hand off to technical team for production.
·       Advanced attention to detail and ability in managing multiple projects at the same time.
 
 Who YOU are:
·      Bachelor’s Degree in Apparel Manufacturing, Product Development, Apparel Design or related field
·       5-7+ years’ work experience in technical design, apparel design or patternmaking
·       Understanding of garment construction, grading and patterns
·       In-depth knowledge of fabric, apparel, materials, construction and fit
·       Experience with PLM system preferred
·       Adobe Illustrator experience required
·       Microsoft Office Suite experience required
·       Hybrid, in office minimum 2 days a week required.  Must be flexible to come to office as needed based on customer needs and meetings.

At BAMKO, we want you to be well and thrive. The compensation for this position ranges from $60,000-$70,000 (annually). The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon the candidate’s relevant skills and experience.
