Barbaricum is seeking a senior level Graphic Designer to support the US Army Futures Command (AFC) Headquarters in its mission to ensure war-winning future readiness. Personnel will support AFC’s HQ directorates, subordinate commands, research laboratories, innovation hubs, and Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs). An ideal candidate will play a key role in visually communicating the AFC mission, values, and strategic initiatives through creative and compelling design solutions. This role involves developing impactful graphics for a variety of materials, exhibits, and exhibitions that convey key messages and support the Army's Modernization Priorities.

Responsibilities

    • Develop visually compelling graphics for information pages, pamphlets, brochures, photos, videos, exhibits, and exhibitions.
    • Design and produce AFC Pop-Up exhibits (banners) that highlight and support themes and messages from the Army's Modernization Priorities.
    • Create customized communication media products, including social and digital media infographics, videos, and animations that clearly articulate and illustrate AFC information and messages.
    • Respond to short-notice requirements for large format products, demonstrating skills in quick creative concept development.
    • Research, manage, and maintain industry-standard databases to support rapid design of new products.

Required Qualifications

    • Secret Clearance Required
    • Proven experience as a senior graphic designer with a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design work
    • Strong understanding of branding principles and consistent application of them
    • Proficiency in industry-standard design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Bridge, Dreamweaver, Flash, Media Encoder, Illustrator, Acrobat), Visio, InDesign, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint
    • Skilled in strategic engagement, working collaboratively on online communication campaigns and programs
    • Track record of leading graphics and web design projects, meeting goals on time
    • Ability to prepare and deliver briefings and status reports with consultative skills
    • Experience in corporate communications, stakeholder engagement, outreach planning, branding, and social media
    • Proficient in supporting both traditional and non-traditional media, including the development and use of exhibits and collateral materials (banner stands, posters, brochures, etc.)
    • Effective teamwork in a small team environment, demonstrating strategic engagement and outreach planning
