Barbaricum is seeking a qualified Protection Specialist to contribute to security and force protection efforts in support of the US Army Futures Command (AFC) Headquarters in its mission to ensure war-winning future readiness. Personnel will support AFC’s HQ directorates, subordinate commands, research laboratories, innovation hubs, and Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs). An ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security and force protection principles and practices.

Responsibilities

    • Oversee the Personnel Security (PERSEC) system of record and Defense Information Security System (DISS) to maintain the integrity and confidentiality of personnel information.
    • Manage badging processes, ensuring accurate and controlled access to secure areas.
    • Develop, execute, and manage physical security measures to safeguard personnel, assets, and sensitive information.
    • Contribute to anti-terrorism (AT) efforts, including planning and implementing measures to mitigate potential threats.
    • Assist in emergency management planning, ensuring preparedness and responsiveness to critical situations.
    • Implement and monitor Operational Security (OPSEC) measures to safeguard sensitive information and operations.
    • Contribute to the development and execution of the Continuity of Operations (COOP) Plan and Emergency Preparedness Program (EPP) to ensure AFC's ability to operate in any contingency.

Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
    • Minimum of 5 years of direct, relevant Anti-Terrorism (AT) and Operational Security (OPSEC) experience
    • Must have completed OPSEC Level II, ATO Course, and Physical Security Course
    • Secret Clearance Required
