Barbaricum is seeking a highly skilled Photographer, Film, and Video Editor to support communication strategy and objectives in support of the US Army Futures Command (AFC) Headquarters in its mission to ensure war-winning future readiness.
 
Personnel will support AFC’s HQ directorates, subordinate commands, research laboratories, innovation hubs, and Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs). This position will be responsible for producing and directing a variety of digital and visual information products, including still photography, video presentations, digital media packages, and b-roll. Additionally, the candidate will be tasked with capturing formal portraits of official personnel for authorized release.

Responsibilities

    • Produce and direct still-photography, video presentations, digital media packages, and b-roll to convey key messages and enhance the organization's visual presence
    • Capture formal portraits of official personnel for authorized release
    • Ensure a high level of professionalism and attention to detail in all portrait sessions
    • Provide creative direction and guidance to ensure the alignment of visual products with the organization's brand and communication goals
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives
    • Operate and maintain digital media production equipment, ensuring the quality and integrity of visual products
    • Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies in digital media production
    • Work closely with internal stakeholders, including communication specialists, graphic designers, and leadership, to effectively communicate key messages through visual content

Qualifications

    • Minimum of 5 years of direct, relevant experience in Photography, Film and Video production, Media Arts and Communications
    • Proficiency in operating digital media production equipment
    • Strong understanding of branding principles and the ability to apply them consistently
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Secret Clearance Required

Preferred Qualifications

    • Master's degree in Communication, Public Relations, or a related field
