Barbaricum is seeking a qualified Personnel Security Specialist to contribute to security and force protection efforts in support of the US Army Futures Command (AFC) Headquarters in its mission to ensure war-winning future readiness. Personnel will support AFC’s HQ directorates, subordinate commands, research laboratories, innovation hubs, and Cross-Functional Teams (CFTs). An ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of security and force protection principles and practices.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on the implementation, execution, and management of security and force protection tasks and programs within AFC.
- Maintain the Personnel Security (PERSEC) system of record and Defense Information Security System (DISS).
- Oversee badging processes and procedures to control access to secure areas within AFC.
- Contribute to the development of physical security measures to safeguard AFC personnel and assets.
- Support the development and execution of Anti-Terrorism (AT) and emergency management plans specific to AFC.
- Assist in creating and maintaining Continuity of Operations (COOP) Plans and Emergency Preparedness Programs (EPP) for AFC.
- Implement and monitor Operational Security (OPSEC) measures to protect sensitive information within AFC.
- Collaborate with teams to ensure the confidentiality of critical operations within the command.
Required Qualifications
- Education: AA/AS from an accredited college or technical school
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of direct, relevant PERSEC experience
- Secret Clearance Required
