Barbaricum is currently recruiting a seasoned Senior Data Scientist to spearhead the development of a Mission Assurance risk management process and data platform within the Envision Enterprise Data Platform. In this role, this person will lead in creating a comprehensive system capable of supporting risk response development, tracking, and sharing actionable data, with a direct influence on Air Force resourcing at both the DAF Enterprise level and across all command tiers. Key responsibilities for this role include leveraging advanced data science techniques to develop cutting-edge tools aimed at identifying and effectively managing task critical assets (TCAs), crucial for ensuring the security and efficiency of Air Force operations.

Responsibilities

    • Develop advanced data science tools to support identification of and risk management of TCAs.

Qualifications

    • Minimum of 15 years in data science experience.
    • Extensive experience in building models on top of complex DoD projects across multiple functional communities and command levels.
    • Experience in developing Machine Learning models for complex systems engineering data systems.
    • Experience in managing complex research projects with frequent redirection.
    • Ability to develop and/or migrate models within Palantir Foundry. Competence in building models in Python (PiSpark and Pandas) and R coding.
    • Master’s degree in Engineering or Data Science. PhD preferred.
    • At least 5 years' experience with Department of the Air Force enterprise data systems and processes and 3 years in developing data integration and workflows in the Palantir Foundry or equivalent data integration platform.
    • Obtainment of “Foundry Data Science” or “Foundry Data Analysis” certification is required before the contract kickoff.
    • Must possess a current Top Secret/SCI Clearance.
