Barbaricum is seeking a military trained Instructor to work as part of our Contracted Logistics Support (CLS) team supporting the training and equipping of Army organizations worldwide. In this position you will perform maintenance and training activities under the program contract for various Program Manager-Close Combat Systems (PM CCS) to include AN/PSS-14C, Nonstandard Handheld Detectors, AN/TIC 43 & 44(v1), Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Tools and Equipment Kit (ETEK), Jackal C-IED system. Experience with Counter Radio-Controlled Improvised Explosive Device Electronic Warfare (CREW) Instructor/FSR experience desired.    

Responsibilities

    • Prepare training materials and equipment to conduct training, in garrison and occasionally under field conditions.
    • Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on PM CCS systems utilizing Government and furnished technical documentation to perform system diagnostics and fault isolation to root cause failures.
    • Travel to authorized locations to respond to calls for corrective maintenance; perform scheduled maintenance and upkeep of systems. 
    • Prepare training lanes to include clearing an area of metallic clutter.
    • Attend informational meetings that support improvements to equipment maintenance and training support. 
    • Provide information and other experience acquired during support to PM CCS concerning the actions performed during the conduct of training and maintenance.
    • Aid in the development and execution of training plans for CLS personnel.

Qualifications

    • Active DoD Secret clearance
    • Must have attended an approved instructor training course, such as FIFC, ABIC or ITC and have Two (2) years serving as a certified military equipment instructor. 
    • Six (6) years of experience since 2000 in maintenance and training of fielded military equipment. 
    • Proven communication skills (written and verbal).  Knowledge and proficiency of selected computer applications (ex: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). 
    • Must be able to meet CRC deployment requirements.
    • Must obtain and maintain a Secret clearance supported via Tier 3 background investigation standards (https://www.dcsa.mil/).
