As an Engineering Lead, you will guide and support a team with your technical expertise and business domain understanding. You will collaborate with different stakeholders and other engineering teams to drive the solutions that deliver high business impact. You will be leading and managing product and platform initiatives by working with the team during the discovery and delivery process and designing and implementing solutions which adhere to high standards of quality. You will need to have a strong sense of ownership of the outcomes and should be willing to be hands-on with the technical work when needed to help the team achieve their goals or to prove a hypothesis by creating PoCs and MVPs.
 
As an Engineering Lead for Customer Services and Digital Onboarding, you will lead and evolve our Digital Customer Onboarding and Customers platform to scale into the new markets and adhere to the regulatory requirements while keeping it lean on Operations, while not compromising on the experience and security of our Customers. A prior experience in working with Customer Onboarding solutions, especially with financial institutions, is a plus, as usually these solutions need integration with service providers for Authentication (like Auth0), Identity and Document Verification (like Onfido) and eKYC.
 
Who you are (Skills, Experience and Qualifications)
 
·       As a Tech/Engineering Lead, you will be expected to be hands-on and having the technical authority on the team to guide technical direction, selecting the right solutions and ensuring the team is following best practices
·       A highly collaborative person who can work with different stakeholders to drive solutions which deliver business values while pushing back on over-engineered solutions
·       Provides the technical guidance to the team, helping them to solve complex technical problems and improve their technical skills
·       Capable of actively pushing back on over-engineered solutions and advocating for improving under-implemented solutions 
·       Provides team leadership by helping to build and manage the team, encouraging collaboration and open communication
·       Are up-to-date with latest industry trends, technologies and best practices. And can help the team to use these tools and approaches
·       Have a proven track record of implementing significant improvements in quality, performance, stability and scalability to the solutions and code they work on.​
·       Be an advocate for the work done by the team and share achievements both technical and business with the wider technology group
·       Has working experience with integration of 3rd Party Service Providers for Authentication (like Auth0, Okta or FusionAuth), Identity and Document Verification (like Sumsub, Onfido, Persona), Location Service Providers (like Maps), eKYC and Compliance (like Refinitiv , Sanction Scanner etc.)
·       Has worked on building or enhancing Digital Onboarding experience for a Financial Institution. Having it done for GCC countries is a bonus.

Required Technical Knowledge
 
·       Solid industry experience with modern languages including Typescript, Node.js and modern JavaScript or Golang
·       Deep experience with microservice architectures and experience designing and implementing REST APIs
·       Strong experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) 
·       Experience with Typescript, Node.js and modern JavaScript
·       Designed and implemented REST APIs and understand modern RPC solutions like GRPC well
·       Good working knowledge of GraphQL
·       Extensive experience with various levels of testing e.g. unit, integration, end-to-end
·       Good understanding of modern runtimes like AWS Lambda, Kubernetes and related ecosystems
·       Experience integrating 3rd Party Service Providers for Authentication (like Auth0, Okta or FusionAuth), Identity and Document Verification (like Sumsub, Onfido or Persona), Location Service Providers (like Maps), eKYC and Compliance (like Refinitiv, Sanction Scanner etc.)
